Walter "Ed" Cliver

Ed passed away peacefully on February 24 ^th 2022, at the age of 81, of Westmont, NJ.

Beloved husband of the late Jean Cliver (nee Alcorn). Loving father of Sheri L. Murphy (Joe) of Fairless Hills, PA and the late John E. and Richard E. Cliver.  Dear brother of the late Mary Lou Staepel (Phil). Proud grandfather of John E.  Merklein (Cassie), Jacob M. Merklein (Shelby), Richard, Katelyn & Kimberlee Cliver, bonus grandsons Sean J. Murphy (Katherine) and Matt C. Murphy (Sam). Great-grandfather of Ryan and one on the way.  Father-in-law of Krista Rankine (Ron). Also survived by Marie Errigo (mother of Sheri, John & Richard), many family members and close friends.

Ed was a Barber for over 50 years on Haddon Ave. in Westmont, sometimes referred to as the town mayor, because everyone knew him.  He was a US Army Veteran and in the Reserves for over 5 years.  Ed enjoyed playing and watching golf, but his favorite pastime was having beers with his friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Sunday, Feb. 27 ^th from 5 to 6 PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ, followed by his memorial service at 6 PM.

Interment will be private.
