It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected loss of Virginia Mae DeHaven Smith born in Camden, NJ and current resident of Mantua, NJ. She passed away on October 30, 2024, in Mantua, NJ. She was 75 years of age. She is survived by her husband Thomas P Smith Sr, and children Thomas P Smith Jr and his wife, Christie, Caroline V Mons and her husband, Frank. Grandchildren Frank Mons Jr and his wife Victoria, Thomas, Aiden, Catryna, and Tresalee Smith. Great grandchild Samantha Mons. Sisters Jerrine Dickinson and her husband, John and Diane DeHaven. She was proceeded in death by her father, John William DeHaven and mother Virginia Mae Eisenhower DeHaven, her Uncle Walter Eisenhower and Aunt Elizabeth Eisenhower Brunker. She was raised in Westmont, NJ and graduated of Haddon Township Highschool. She enjoyed life and loved listening to Frank Sinatra and playing games. One of her favorite quotes in life was from Anne of Green Gables, “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes.” She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She will be deeply missed by many, especially her sweetheart who was her knight in shining armor.
