Virginia Faye Deering

(Nee Corkran) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 18, 2018 at the age of 86, of Ocean City, NJ, formerly of Barrington, NJ.

Loving mother of Dennis J. Deering (Ellen) of Eastville, VA, the late Debra F. Deering, and Donna D. Moran (Chip) of Ocean City, NJ.   Dear sister of Carol C. Klahn (Richard). Loving grandmother of Lauren A. Adelman, Katelin M. Fallon (Jackson), Patrick J. Moran (Amy) and Maggie D. Deering.  Proud Great-Grandmother of Austin Fallon, Charles Moran, Owen Fallon, and Findley Moran.

Faye grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.  She was happiest spending time in her cottage on the Chesapeake Bay with her family.  Faye loved to fish and could be seen catching crabs well into her 70’s.  Faye graduated from Western Maryland College with Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1954.  She taught Home Economics at Woodland Middle School in Barrington for 35 years. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid antique collector and quilter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday, March 29 ^th from 10 to 11 AM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, where funeral services will begin at 11 AM.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Virginia’s memory may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 121 Habitat Street, Americus, GA 31709-3498.
