Thomas W. Snyder Thomas W. Snyder, age 64, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026. He was born at Cooper Hospital, Camden NJ on April 8, 1962, to George H. and Marion Snyder. Tom was the fourth of five siblings, joining George, Johnny, Doreen, and Nancy. 

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army. He entered military service in November 1979 and was discharged in November 1986, serving 7 years. He was very proud of his accomplishments and the time he dedicated to serving the United States. 

In 1984, Tom married Janet R. Andrew, and together they welcomed their daughter, Diane Snyder, in 1985. 

Tom found a lifelong love and partner in Frances Lotierzo. During their many years together, Tom became an important part of Fran’s family and helped raise her children, Carlos (Poppy), Tina, and Danny. 

Their love brought Tom and Fran many grandchildren. From a very young age, Tom and Fran lovingly raised Renee McGuire and Ashley Pagan as their daughters, forming a special bond that remained a cherished part of their lives. 

Tom was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought additional love, laughter, and joy into his life. Among them were grandchildren Sierra and Andrew as well as great-grandchildren Louis Jr, Chayanne, Caylee, Carson, and Alivia. So many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren were also an important part of his family and his life—far too many to name individually, but each held a special place in his heart. 

Fran passed into heaven in 2012. Tom missed her dearly throughout the years that followed, carrying with him the love and memories they had shared throughout their life together. 

One of Tom’s greatest sources of pride was helping raise his great-grandson, Louis Jr. , Renee’s first son. Louis tragically passed away at the age of four, before Tom. We find comfort in imagining that Louis was there to welcome Tom into heaven, where they can be together once again. 

Tom treasured his relationships with family and friends. He shared an especially close bond with his nephew, William “Billy” Viteo, who remained by his side until his final breath. Tom was also very close with his cousins Bob (Buffalo), Brian (pre-deceased), Bill, and Bruce. His dear friends included Antionette and Karl Nungesser, Joe Phillips, Ronnie King, and Kelly Lani. Tom had so many friends-- too many to list here--but you all know who you are. He loved each one of you. 

Tom enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, spending time at the beach, playing pool, watching football, especially the EAGLES and simply hanging out with the people he cared about. Tom loved having a good time and was always ready to party. His laughter, personality, and ability to make memories with those around him will be deeply missed. Tom leaves behind a family and circle of friends who loved him dearly and will carry his memory in their hearts. Though he is no longer with us, the memories, laughter, stories, and love he shared with so many will live on.

Rest peacefully, Tom. You are loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten. Family and friends are invited to gather at a memorial for Tom on Sunday, September 27th from 2pm to 6pm at Newtonville Fire Hall, 835 NJ-54, Buena, NJ 08310
