Thomas Shemeley, Sr.

Tom, 88 years old, of Haddonfield NJ, formerly of Haddon Township NJ, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. Loving father of Thomas G. Shemeley, Jr. (Gina Osinski) and proud grandfather of Ryann & Regan.

Tom was born in Philadelphia, PA to Clifford Shemeley & Elizabeth (nee Reilly). Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Nancy Rapacchiano (nee Shemeley) and James Shemeley. Also survived by his nieces, nephew and friends. 

As a child he attended Holy Saviour School in Westmont, NJ. Tom was also a proud alumnus of Camden Catholic High School, and a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. He went on to attend Lasalle University where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business. Tom enjoyed spending time with family, especially attending his granddaughters’ various athletic events. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, although his commentary during games could lead one to believe otherwise. 

Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday July 3, from 10 – 11 AM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ. A brief service will follow at 11 AM. 

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 2398 W. Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ.
