Suzanne M. Discher "Sue"

February 8, 1937 — May 14, 2023

(nee Broad) Sue passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the age of 86, of Haddon Township, NJ, formerly of Camden, NJ, born in Staten Island, NY.

Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Joseph Discher. Loving mother of Lynne Discher of Coral Springs, FL, Terrence Discher of Haddon Township, NJ and Pamela Palmer (Mike) of Woodbury, NJ. Proud grandmother of Jason Swain, Jessica Cannone, Julie Discher, Jake Palmer and Sandy Palmer. Adoring Great grandmother of Nevaeh Swain, Gage Swain, Mykah Swain, Christian Cannone and Julia Cannone. Also survived by her good friends Meryl & Jerry Greene, Bill & Lynne Spencer and Mary Ann Feeley, along with many more dear friends.

Sue was a community leader and had a true servant’s heart to volunteer and help others. She was very proud of her husband’s service to our country as a US Marine serving during the Korean War and earning a Purple Heart. Sue was not one to sit home, as her children were growing up she always volunteered. She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, a Room Mother, a member of the PTA and HTAA. Her passions were being the Democrat Municipal Chairperson for Haddon Township, a member of the HT Planning & Zoning Board, a member of the HT Celebration Committee, the Seniors Coordinator for Saint Vincent Pallotti Church and a member of a military support group for the State of NJ.

She has always had interests in politics and government and was involved in any way she could. Sue worked for Lillian Albus in the Deptford Mall and later Forkin McShane Manos & Rotz Family Law Attorney’s in Cherry Hill, NJ. She was kind and caring, loving everyone she came in contact with, always “put together” and ready for action. Sue had a way of making you feel special in her eyes, even in just the “small things”. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her, and would want us all to keep getting involved in the community to make a positive difference.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Sunday, May 21 st from 6 to 8 PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ and on Monday, May 22 nd from 10 to 11 AM at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd.
