Susan Scattergood, 72 of Brigantine, NJ passed away on February 4, 2022 with her family by her side.
Susan is survived by her son Christopher K. Hofmann (Heather) of Haddon Twp.; grandchildren McKenna and Dalton. She is also survived by her siblings Patricia Scattergood, John Scattergood (Laura), Mary Jo Woodward (Walter), Tim Scattergood (Carol), Amy DiMarco (Robert), and Kelly Scattergood(Ann) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She had immense pride in growing up on Melrose Avenue, being a native of Westmont and 1 of 7 children in the Scattergood Family. Sue was all about family and served as the self appointed family biographer and reunion host. Sue was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School. Susan retired as the Director of Operations for Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in NYC where she mentored many with her tough love and no nonsense style. She loved to travel and shared that love with her family especially with McKenna and Dalton on trips to Ireland, France, Italy & Canada. As a full time resident of Brigantine, Sue had many wonderful friends and never missed an opportunity to walk on the beach no matter the weather. She was a lover of long dinners, well made cocktails and interesting conversations with friends. Sue was an active volunteer for CASA advocating for the safety and welfare of children in Atlantic County. Vive Le Doodster!
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, where friends and family will gather from 10am to 12pm.
