Susan Maloney Donohue

Passed peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, age 88, of Haddon Township, NJ.

Loving mother of Lynnann Donohue Anderson of Philadelphia, PA, Michael Donohue (Kristine) of Merchantville, NJ, Theresa Donohue Anzano (David) of Ridgewood, NJ, Stephen Donohue (Ellen) of Haddonfield, NJ, Bryant Donohue (Kathleen) of Mullica Hill, NJ and Bruce Donohue (Mary Beth) of Haddon Township, NJ.  Dear sister of Phillip Maloney and the late Harry Maloney, Mary Mahoney and Joseph Maloney.  Devoted “Muggums” of Mary Beth Anderson (Thomas), Emily Anderson, Megan Geiger (Wayne), Sean Donohue (Julia), Andrew Donohue, Catherine Anzano, Shannon Donohue, Rachael Anzano, Bryant Donohue, Jr., John Donohue, Matthew Anzano, Brad Donohue, Laura Donohue, Patrick Anzano, Ali Donohue, Kathryn Donohue, Brendan Donohue, Timothy Anzano and Alec Donohue. Great-grandmother of Oscar O’Hara, Mavis Geiger and Milly Geiger.

Susan graduated from Melrose Academy and Chestnut Hill College. After college Susan worked as a chemist.  She was a chemistry and science Teacher at Haddon Township HS for over 35 years. Susan also coached the Girls Swim & Field Hockey Teams at HT. At the time of her passing she was an active board member of the HTHS Athletic Hall of Fame and a member of the Tavistock Hills Swim Club.  She enjoyed over 50 years at Tavistock, was an avid Bridge player, thoroughly enjoyed McMillans goodies and most of all she delighted in her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather Saturday, January 27 ^th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at TAVISTOCK COUNTRY CLUB, 100 Tavistock Lane, Haddonfield, NJ 08033.

Family will share memories at 12:30 PM.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Susan’s memory may be made for a One Time Scholarship in Susan Donohue’s honor, checks payable to Haddon Township BOE (Board of Education), Haddon Township High School, 406 Memorial Avenue, Westmont, NJ 08108, Attn: Arlene Cella.
