Susan B. Diem, of Haddon Heights, New Jersey, passed peacefully with her loving daughter by her side, on April 11, 2026, at the age of 79. Daughter of Maria R. Newton. Former wife of the late George T. Diem, Jr. Susan, was born in Luzerne County, PA on February 9, 1947. Proud mother of Benjamin D. and Rebecca M. Susan is survived by her children, Rebecca Sanders (Brian), grandchildren John, Ryan, Gloria, and Caroline Sanders and son, Benjamin Newton/Laurie, Emily and Jake Newton, and his wife Penni (D’Aulerio) and children, Ben, Max, and Molly. In addition to her parents and late husband, she was predeceased by one great grandchild, Yorah Zophia Williams. and her brother, Leonard Moyles.

She was an R.N. for hospitals and home care agencies and volunteered during hurricanes in Fla. She was an avid walker all of her life and loved all animals. Although she was a caring nurse, she gave no mercy when playing Scrabble! Enjoyed sewing and crocheting, woodworking, gardening, reading and writing books, listening to musical genre, playing pinochle and solitaire, making handmade dolls and a bear named Cubby, donating to charities, an inspiration to her children and her grandchildren’s love of crafting, traveling, camping, and attending concerts, going on vacations and day trips with her family.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Susan's memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777 or Samaritan Gifts Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.
