Stuart passed away with his family by his side on August 13, 2026, at the age of 83, a 57 year resident of Audubon, NJ, formerly of Runnemede, NJ. Beloved son of the late Maude (nee Cooke) & Earl Bartelt. Loving husband of the late Dolores (nee Jakacki). Proud father of Jeffrey Bartelt (Susan) of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Tracy Clancy (Frank) of Magnolia, NJ. Dear brother of the late Wayne (Thelma) and Harold. Loving grandfather of Aidan James Bridgers and Natalie Jane Clancy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and his loyal Schnoodle companion Sadie.

Stuart was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1965 – 1967. He was a member of the American Legion Post #84 in Oaklyn. Stuart was ASE Certified Master Tech for Cherry Hill Classic Cars for over 40 years, starting in his Dad’s Shop. Post retirement, from turning wrenches, he fully enjoyed his local community job as a Crossing Guard for grade school children in his hometown of Audubon, NJ.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching Crime TV shows, and was a loyal Philadelphia Sports Fan. Stuart cherished his time with family and beloved dogs. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday, August 19th from 10:30 – 12 PM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ. Memorial Service will begin at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stuart’s memory may be made to the American Legion Post #84, 705 Newton Ave., Oaklyn, NJ 08107.
