Ruth E. Pursglove

Ruth passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on January 19, 2025, at the age of 97, of Haddon Township, NJ. Beloved wife of the late John Pursglove. Loving mother of Karen Souza (Frank) of Williamstown, NJ, Jim Haury (Trish) of Conshohocken, PA and the late Donna Jungclaus (James) of Mt. Ephraim, NJ. Proud grandmother of Ron Strohl (Michelle), Stephanie Phillips (Jeff), Nick Strohl (Cheryl), Jeff Souza, Kelli Souza, EJ Haury (Kerrie), Keith Haury (Mark), Jim Jungclaus, Jr. (Katie), Kristin Hosking (Tom), Will Jungclaus (Sara) and Zach Jungclaus (Bethani).  Adoring great-grandmother of 34.

Ruth was the most dedicated Matriarch of her family. She loved her family dearly and made every effort to show her family just how much she loved them. She attended many dance recitals, plays, communions, dedications, sporting events, birthday parties, graduations, bridal showers, baby showers, and weddings. Nothing made her more proud than sharing how much her family had grown even though she was an only child. She had 3 children, 11 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren. The only thing as strong as her love for her family was her faith. She was a devoted Christian, who always spoke of her love for Jesus and always kept her loved ones in her prayers. After growing up in the small town of Mahony, Pennsylvania, she moved to Philadelphia. There she navigated life without ever obtaining a driver's license! She often found joy in crafting with her friends and family. Many beautifully embroidered Christmas stockings and matching tree skirts were carefully crafted with love as gifts. Ocean City held a special place in her heart dating back to 1945. She enjoyed the beach, salt water taffy, and most importantly, spending time with friends and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing on Monday, January 27th from 10:30 to 11:15 AM and her Visitation from 11:30 to 12 PM at the JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ, where her Memorial Service will follow at 12 PM.
