Robert F. Wells

Bob passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children, on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the age of 90, of Westmont, NJ.

Beloved husband of the love of his life, the late Kathryn Florence "Floss" (nee Morgan).  Loving father of Wendy Wells, Lori Wells (Gary Freedman) and Robert F. Wells, II. Proud Pop Pop of Robert F. Wells, III (Jackie) and Emily Wells (Brandon Wurst). Adoring great grandfather of Ariana Nelson.

Bob was a proud US Navy Veteran, serving as a Seabee from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War.  He was a Past Master, Past Grand Chaplain, 50 year member of Mozart Lodge #121, Past Patron, 50 year member of Haddonfield Chapter #140 and a member of the Audubon American Legion.  Bob was the Superintendent of Public Works in Haddon Township for 37 years.  He loved being with his family, playing cards, feeding his birds and all animals that came into his yard, and doing his “shop therapy” in woodworking. He also played the accordion in a band at Tall Pines in Clementon and Ashland Fire Hall for weddings and events in is younger days. Bob was a good hearted, happy and kind soul, and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to Tunnel to Towers, Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 or t2t.org, an organization that supports and builds homes for veterans.
