Robert T. Cairns, Sr. "Bob"

January 28, 1954 — April 8, 2021

Bob passed away Thursday April 8 th , 2021 of Haddon Heights NJ, formerly of Westmont and Pennsauken, at the age of 67.

Bob is survived by many family and friends including his loving wife of 43 years, Regina Cairns (nee Bojdo), his four children Gina Skaggs (Tom), Alicia Achatz (Ryan), Robert Cairns, Jr., Craig Cairns (Jeanette), his grandchildren Lily, Aaron, Sonny, McKayla, Phoenix, Shane, and Baby girl Cairns (on the way), sister-in-laws Karla Cairns (the late Scott), Belle Merritt, and Helen Leibrand (John), nieces and nephews Tanya Timberman (Burry), Shawn Leibrand (Abby), his goddaughter Kristin Palm (Scott), Scott Cairns (Sarah), Lauren Nelms (Rich), Katelynn Cairns (Dean), Kimberly Moyer (Eric), Michael Cairns (Megan), Jimmy Cairns, Rachael Weist (Michael), Kyle Cairns, and William Hall and his cousins Theresa Nissenzone, Christine Evans (Ed), Johnny Maccri (Laurie), and Danny Maccri. Bob was also blessed with many great-nieces and great-nephews, whom he dearly loved. Bob is preceded in death by his mother Joanne Cairns (nee Keller), sister Debbie Hall (nee Cairns), and younger brothers Scott Cairns, Thomas Cairns, Brian Cairns, and Aunts Leanne Maccri and Marlene Davis. Bob was a loving son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, uncle, and grandfather.

He was one of six children born to Thomas and Joanne Cairns, grew up in Westmont, where he attended Paul VI and Haddon Township High Schools. Bob had a long career working as a Sheet Metal Fabricator and a Gold Seal Certified Boiler Operator, before working for the Haddon Township Housing Authority in Westmont, NJ, where he eventually retired from.  Bob met his wife Regina while they both worked at Wetler Corporation in Pennsauken, they quickly fell in love and began their journey together as a couple.  Bob was a devoted family man, sometimes working two jobs as well as overtime to provide for his family.  Bob is known and loved for his sense of humor, sarcasm, and beloved “Dad Jokes.”  He was a sports fan who rooted for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, as well as, whatever sports teams his grandchildren were playing on.  Bob treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. He loved watching old westerns, listening to good music and being together with his family. Bob will be forever missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Viewing, Thursday, April 15 th from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ.

His funeral service and interment will be private for the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
