Richard C. Amme

Rich passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 80, at the Masonic Home of Burlington, NJ, formerly of Audubon, NJ.

Loving husband of the late Janet M. “Jan” (nee Adams).  Beloved father of Diane M. Hess and Kristen L. Hunt.  Dear brother of Bruce Amme and Robert Amme. Adoring grandfather of Aaron Hess and Elizabeth Hunt.

Rich had a long and distinguished career in the US Army. He did one tour in Vietnam 1968-1969, rose through the ranks over the years to Lieutenant Colonel retiring NJARNG. Rich also worked for the federal government at DISC in Philadelphia.  He was very active with numerous levels of the NJ Masons and held several high offices. Rich was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His strength and character shined through in all aspects of his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday, Oct. 1 ^st at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, where we will celebrate the lives of both Rich and his wife Jan (who passed on May 16, 2020), at 11 AM.

Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Rich’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter 399 Market St. #250 Philadelphia, PA 19106.
