Ric, of Woodlynne, NJ, formerly of Guatemala, went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2025. Beloved husband of 60 years to Ely (nee Villeda). Loving father of Fredy Arreaga (Maria), Tony Arreaga (Marisol), Che Jiovanny (Darlene), and Nancy Arreaga-Parsi (Sergio). Proud grandfather of 9. At ninety years young, Ric’s heart held a love for his wife, Ely, that burned as brightly as the day they met, a testament to a lifetime of devotion. His passion for Jesus Christ was the unwavering compass guiding his steps across continents, his spirit enriched by journeys both physical and spiritual. For over six decades, he shepherded his family and friends with grace and wisdom, his voice resonating with the love of the Savior. A prolific hand poured forth countless poems and hymns, each verse a testament to his faith, weaving threads of hope and redemption. And with open hands, he shared his blessings, a generous soul whose kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark of love and faith upon the world. This venerable man of faith carried with him a pearl of wisdom, often sharing it with a gentle smile and twinkling eyes: "Si el mal tiene remedio, ¿por qué te preocupas? Y si no tiene remedio, ¿por qué te preocupas?"
