Ray, of Haddon Township, NJ, passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 96.

Beloved husband of the late Maureen (nee Sullivan). Loving father of Mark Karcher and Keith Karcher, both of Haddon Township, NJ. Also survived by his nephews Jeff Leonard and Greg Leonard, sons of his late sister Nancy.

Raised in Vandalia, OH, Ray was a 4-sport athlete in high school and continued playing sports throughout his lifetime, especially tennis. He competed in senior tennis tournaments and maintained the tennis courts at the Haddon Field Club for many years. He was an avid chess player, playing games online nearly daily until a few months before his passing. He took up golf in his seventies and played into his late eighties.

Family and friends are invited to his visitation, Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11 AM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ.
