Peter P. DiCiano, age 89, of Indialantic, FL formerly of Southern NJ, passed away on June 2nd 2024. Born to Peter and Mary (Mascio) DiCiano on August 20, 1934, in Camden, NJ,
Beloved husband of the late Joan (neé Devlin) DiCiano and the late Anne Marie (neé Garofano) DiCiano.
Loving Father of Joanne and Tom Procopio, Peter and Charlotte DiCiano and Maryanne and Nick Schauman. Cherished Grandfather (Pop Pop, Beeps) of Alyson and Tommy Procopio, Candice Collins, Shannon and Peter DiCiano Jr., Adam and Tyler Schauman. Predeceased by dearest granddaughter Nicole Schauman. Great grandfather of Tyler Jr., Keiran and Ella.
Pete attended Camden Catholic H.S. and was a well-known Trumpet player in his youth. He was U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean War. Pete was invited to join the Navy Band but declined because he wanted to travel. He was a long-time employee of N.J. Bell Telephone. After “retirement” from Bell, he became a school bus driver for Mt. Laurel Twp. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Santa Maria Council, Haddon Twp.
Peter will be remembered by all, for his dry sense of humor, generosity, love of travel and dancing. He was a very good bowler and enjoyed playing golf. He was a big fan of the Eagles and had season tickets for years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation, Tuesday, June 11th, from 10 – 11 AM at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Holy Saviour Church, 50 Emerald Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
