Penelope "Penny" S. Eichmann

(nee Edwards)  On October 12, 2024, at the age of 86, of Collingswood., NJ. Beloved wife of the late Ronald K. Eichmann. Loving mother of Eric R. Eichmann (Bonni) of Collingswood, NJ, Stacey Jackson (Chuck) of Collingswood, NJ and Brent R. Eichmann. Beloved daughter of the late Lionel “Midge” and Elinore Edwards of Collingswood. Dear sister-in-law of, Janice Eichmann and Linda Sutphin the late Bruce Eichmann. Dear friend of Hedda Jacobs. Devoted grandmother of Stephen, Kyle, Emily and Gabriel.

Penny was a graduate of Collingswood High School Class of 1956, and attended Jefferson University School of Nursing to become a Certified Radiology Technician.  She and her husband Ron were married in 1965, and started their family in 1967.  After raising her children to school age, she began applying her radiology training with Dr. Edward Tufanction, a position she held for almost 30 years.  After “retiring” Penny was a Teacher’s Aide at Christian Day Nursery at the First Baptist Church of Collingswood. Over the years, “Miss Penny” affectionately known to the children, thoroughly enjoyed her company and the children brought her much joy.  In her spare time, she enjoyed baking desserts, and had a passion for crocheting, making hundreds of projects.  Penny also enjoyed her Saturday night dinners with “The Ladies”, but her favorite way to spend time, was with her grandchildren at their various activities, concerts and shows, as well as their frequent Sunday dinners.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday, October 16th from 6 to 8 PM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Twp., NJ and Thursday, October 17th from 10-11 AM, where her funeral service will follow at 11 AM.

Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
