Nancy Ruth Welsh

May 6, 1939 — December 28, 2020

(nee Beaumont) Nancy passed on Monday, December 28, 2020, at the age of 81, a resident of Pennsauken, the Collins Tract Section for over 53 years. Beloved wife of the late Harry Winters Welsh Jr. of 57 years, the love of her life, she continued to count the years following his passing.  Loving mother of Scott Harry Welsh (Robyn) of West Grove, PA, Heather Lynne McArthur (Dave) of Glassboro, NJ and Glenn Mason Welsh (Nancy) of Cherry Hill, NJ.  Proud grandmother of Erin Welsh, Paula Welsh, Jacquiline McWilliams (Sean), Sean Hackett, Zachary McArthur (Allison), Dylan McArthur, Ryan McArthur, Coty McArthur, Broc McArthur Nash McArthur, Matthew Welsh, Sean Welsh, Stephen Welsh and Jessica Welsh.  Dear sister of the late Louise Danley (William).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was the daughter of Francis (Scottie) Beaumont and Hattie Louise Beaumont (nee Harvey).  She graduated from Merchantville High School then worked as a secretary at Camden County Vocational Technical School in Pennsauken where she met her future husband Harry.  They were married on October 12, 1963, moved to Westmont then relocated to Pennsauken where they raised their three children.  Once her children graduated out of grade school, Nancy went back to work as a receptionist for Dr. Murray Matez in Fairview, Camden where she worked until she retired in 2000. She was a longtime member of the Merchantville Trinity United Methodist Church.  Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and her 14 grandchildren.  She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and crocheting.  Nancy and Harry loved going on vacation and would often travel together with her sister Louise and her husband Bill.  Some of their favorite vacation destinations were:  Lancaster, PA; Gettysburg, PA; Williamsburg, VA; Villas - Cape May, NJ; New England; Myrtle Beach, SC; cruising to Bermuda.   Oftentimes, Nancy and Harry would take day trips to spend time with each other visiting local areas of interest, or just shopping together.

Memorial services will be celebrated graveside at Harleigh Cemetery, 1640 Haddon Avenue, Camden, NJ, on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11 AM.
