Miriam "Mimi" Bird

(nee Garrity) Mimi passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on January 21, 2025, at the age of 72, of Westmont, NJ.

Beloved wife of Stephen R. Bird. Loving mother of Alfred Bird (Kathy), David Bird, Kelly Bird (Frank), and Andrea Bird. Dear sister of the late John Garrity, James Garrity and Patricia Burns. Proud grandmother of Jessica Bird, Dana Bird, David Bird, MaryKelly Alloway, Laura Bird, Evelyn Thomas and proud aunt of Steven Burns (Kelly).

Mimi was a Special Education Teachers Aide in the Haddon Township School District. She was a former President of the PTA and the Westmont Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, where she served many years.  Mimi enjoyed her time at the shore and boating.  Above anything, she loved being surrounded by her family and making everyone around her laugh.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation on Wednesday, January 29th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ, where her Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 am.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Samaritan’s Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Phila., PA 19176-1425.
