Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, age 93, of Westmont, NJ.
Beloved husband of the late Caroline Marie (Nee Marini). Loving father of Joseph Procacci (Cindy) of Westmont, NJ and the late Carmella M. Procacci. Proud “Pop” to his grandchildren: Joseph Procacci, Jr. (Amanda) of Westmont, Michele Procacci (John) of Westville, Rosa Byars (Matt) of Glendora and Nicholas Procacci (Melissa) of Maple Shade. Adoring “Old Pop” of Damien, Brandon, Dominic, Gabriella, Giovanni, Carmella, Alexandria, and the soon arrival of Elena his 8

great-grandchild. The dear brother of surviving sisters Anna Smith and Lydia Marinacci, and late sisters Rose Gold , Mary Lamento, and Ester Pavlides. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, along with surviving sister in laws, Rita Manning of Barrington and Julie Marini of Marlton.
Mike was born and raised in South Camden he served in the US Army during WWII stationed in the Philippines. Mike belonged to the Army Medical Corps with the 57
th
portable service hospital as a Combat Medic. He received the Bronze Star with Arrow Head, Combat Medic Badge, along with 3 Campaign Stars for the invasion of the Philippines. He also received the Liberation Ribbon, Philippine Government World War II service medal, Military Service Medal, Military Service Medal for honorable service, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was a devoted, long time member of the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council #1443 served in many positions and was a member of the 4
th
degree Honor Guard. Mike devoted many years to Saint Joseph’s Pro Cathedral in Camden, where he was a member of the Men’s Club, served on the board of the church council and was Head Usher for many years.
Mike was an avid Phillies fan who loved going to games and watching on TV. Mike was an advocate and worked with the Cerebral Palsy foundation in Pennsauken New Jersey for many years.
He loved building puzzles and telling jokes to his family and friends that he repeated thru the generations. After serving in the Army Mike owned a convenience store in Almonesson, NJ. He went to butchers school and worked for Polish American Provisions in Camden for many years, in the store and servicing customers on a truck route. After retiring he worked for Almond Glass as a driver for many years.

from 5 to 8PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Twp., NJ and on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI CHURCH, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
Entombment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
