Michael P. Jung

Congratulations, Michael Patrick Jung, on an incredible life well-lived. Mike crossed over to the other side on Friday, May 5, 2017 at home while being held and cared for by his loving wife of 36 years, Vicki, his three adoring daughters, Jerzy, Courtney, and Jamie, his caring brother-in-law, George, and his future son-in-law and friend, Erik. He was surrounded by balloons, paper butterflies, pirate flags, and a faithful group of family who honored him until the very last second.

Mike was born in Philadelphia in 1953. From the very beginning, his love for the arts and for connecting with others defined him. Over the years his accomplishments included managing a record store, going to countless live shows, and working as a concert promoter to share his immense passion for music with anyone who would listen. A universally liked guy no matter what the circumstance, he later developed a strong and successful career in the architectural metal sales business, leading to several awards and more amazing friendships.

Mike’s dearest and most long-time fans also include his four brothers, Bill (Barb), Frank (Carol), George (Eileen), and Kinny Jung, eleven cherished nieces and nephews, his remarkable cousins and family in the Urbanek, Beynon, Mengers, O’Boyle, and Kozinski families, lifelong friends in the Hartsough and Ferenz families, his VM Zinc and Umicore buddies, and countless other dear friends from work, the tennis court, the lakes, the mall, and several grocery stores. He joins his parents, Bill and Grace Jung, and his beloved dog, Schnitzel, in the great beyond.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, June 3rd, from 2 to 4 PM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ 08108.

An epic celebration of Mike’s life and all of those he influenced will be held on Sunday, June 4th, at 2pm at Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church, 18 W. Merchant St., Audubon, NJ 08106.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s name may be made to Hope Lodge Philadelphia located at 110 W. Laurel Ave., Cheltenham, PA 19012.
