Mary passed away from complications of COVID-19 on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, one day shy of her 85 th birthday, of Clarksboro, NJ.
Mary was born October 7, 1935 to John and Dorothea (nee Weyrauch) Riley in Teaneck, NJ. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Frisino and brother, Donald Riley.
Mary is survived by her sister, Joan Johnson of Potoma, NY and her children Patricia Turner (Kenneth) of N. Caldwell, Carolyn Barrett (Scott) of Haddon Township, Gene Piccola Jr (Kristine)of Moorestown, and Richard Piccola (Elizabeth)of Toms River. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael Cotter, Diana MacNeir, Erin Dubell, Anne Turner, Laura MacNeir, Stephen MacNeir, Brian Cotter, Shannon Patterson, Allison Piccola, Julian Piccola, Emily Piccola, and Abby Barrett, great-grandaughters Layla and Zoey Dubell, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Also her lifetime friend, Lauri Millen.
Mary was an outgoing person, who loved meeting new people and making new friends wherever she went. She worked as an office manager, and served in her local church for many years. She loved the Lord, dinners with family and friends, and time with her grandchildren. Some of her favorite things to do were going to Barnegat Lighthouse, watching the planes at Red Bank Battlefield Park, seeing hot air balloons, and taking bus trips. In her later years, she enjoyed competitive card games, puzzles, bingo and reading.
She will be missed, but never forgotten.
Funeral services will be private, she will be laid to rest in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a food bank of your choice. To share condolences please visit www.jacksonfh.net .
