Margaret A. Cunane "Peggy"

June 26, 1945 — October 27, 2021

Peggy passed away peacefully on October 27, 2021, at the age of 76, of Pennsauken, NJ.

Beloved daughter of the late Gerald & Dorothy Strickland (nee Willetts). Loving wife of 23 years to Charles L. Cunane of Pennsauken, NJ. Dear sister-in-law of William Cunane (Annabelle) of Greenboro, NC, Frank Cunane (Barbara) of Marlton, NJ, Elizabeth Cunane of Gloucester City, NJ, Marie Cunane (the late Pete) of Stratford, NJ and the late George Cunane. Also survived by her dear relatives in Canada, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, many loyal church friends and longtime close friends.

Peggy graduated from Moorestown Friends School and Drexel University. She grew up Bala Cynwyd and Pennsauken. Peggy worked for Camden County Consumer Affairs, listening to complaints, then worked for Sandone & Co. Florist as an Event Coordinator. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Peggy & Charlie married in 1998, then is 2001 she became confined to her bed.  For 20 years she networked through telephone and social media, organizing church events and making many “towel” wedding cakes for friends. She was truly an amazing person, always upbeat, never down, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Saturday, Nov.13 th from 9:30 to 11 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 10 West Maple Ave., Merchantville, NJ, followed by her Memorial Service at 11 AM.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peggy’s memory may be made to her church, First Presbyterian.
