Magda Lee Cabrera

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Magda Lee Cabrera, who left this world peacefully on November 10, 2024. Born on August 4, 1965, Magda is survived by her devoted brothers, Nelson Cabrera and Rafael Cabrera, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews: Vivian, Karina, Nicolas, Marco, and Gabriela.  She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Maria Melendez, who treasured Magda deeply throughout her life, and by her father, Nelson Cabrera, Sr.

Magda was intellectually curious and obtained an associates degree in Nutrition Sciences from Camden Community College. She was always eager to deepen her understanding and share insights with others. She carried herself with grace, wit, and a playful charm that could disarm even the most skilled conversationalist.

Magda was a vibrant spirit, known for her warmth and unwavering compassion. She found true fulfillment in connecting with others, cherishing family moments, and lifting up those around her, even as she faced her own health challenges. Her selfless nature meant she often prioritized the needs of others, while facing her own struggles with quiet strength. Her motto, “Don’t worry about me, I’m fine,” was a testament to her resilience and enduring strength. A devout catholic, she embraced life with love and hope.

Magda’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her family members: Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Cabrera, Mr. and Mrs. Rafael Cabrera, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and all those who loved her. Magda’s memory will forever be cherished, and she will be remembered for her love, kindness, and strength. Magda joins her mother, Maria, who loved her dearly and awaits her with open arms in heaven.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation Friday, November 15, 2024 from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish HOLY SAVIOUR CHURCH, 50 Emerald Avenue, Westmont, NJ, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Magda will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
