Lyn passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, after a long illness at the age of 73. She is survived by her loving partner, Lee Hummel of Marlton, NJ, beloved sister, Sue Hughes of Williamsburg, VA, and nephew Tom Shelly of Lakewood, CO. Her youngest sister, Karen Shelly of Lakewood, CO preceded her death.

Lyn began her 45-year nursing career as an RN at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Huntingdon Valley, PA before being recruited for a position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia where she spent 43 years caring for premature babies. She was a long-time Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed traveling especially to beaches from Key West to Cape May while watching sunsets and dolphins. Closer to home Lyn enjoyed the beauty of flower gardening, antique car shows, listening to music and crocheting and, most of all, interacting with her family.

In addition to nursing, children were her life’s calling, and she was grandmother to 7, Rhea Dexter, Michael Romano; Allie, Maddie and Eathan Hummel; TJ and Tommy Long plus 3 great grandchildren, Wesley, Carter and Crew Dexter. All held a special place in her heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service, Thursday, July 23rd 11 AM. Gathering at 10:30 AM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ.
