Linda passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on August 20, 2024 which was her 55th birthday. Linda is the beloved daughter of Margaret “Peggy” Ravoni (nee Overland), Peggy’s husband Anthony “Tony” Ravoni, Sr., and the late Richard DeFrates; devoted mother of Alexis DeLeon of Collingswood and Jason Graham of Cherry Hill; dear sister of Denise Bauer of Glendora, NJ, Joan Boaggio of Laurel Springs, NJ, Bruce DeFrates (Lorrie) of Cherry Hill, NJ, Susan Laurits (Igor) of Cream Ridge, NJ, and the late Nancy DeFrates; remembered fondly by her extended Ravoni family. She was the proudest “Sunny” (her chosen nickname) to her grandson Jayden Collins. She is also loved and survived by many nieces and nephews.
Linda grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ and graduated from Cherry Hill High School West in 1987. She excelled in sports and was named to the CHHSW Athletic Hall of Fame in 2023 for her years of outstanding performance in field hockey, lacrosse, and softball. She continued to play field hockey with the Moorestown adult recreation league for several seasons. Later, she pitched for the Kingston Swim Club women’s softball team in Cherry Hill where the team celebrated many first-place seasons together.
She worked at Wegmans food market for many years, first in Mt. Laurel and later in Virginia Beach. Most recently, Linda lived in Port Charlotte, FL where she worked as a home health aide. Linda earned The Shining Star Employee of the Year award in 2022 from her employer in recognition of her excellent service and dedication to her clients. Family, the beach, and her pups are what Linda enjoyed most.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation Saturday, Sept. 7th, from 11:00 AM – 12 noon at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ, where her memorial service will begin at 12 noon.
Interment will be private.
