Kathleen Anne Joyce "Kathy"

(Nee Simon) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 6, 2017, age 61, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Stratford, NJ.

Kathy was the beloved wife of John J. “Jack” Joyce.  Dear daughter of June Simon of Cherry Hill, NJ and the late James W. Simon. Loving mother of Jay Joyce (Kristen) of Haddonfield, NJ, Jennifer Joyce of Philadelphia, PA, Katelyn Joyce (Anthony Flaherty) of Cherry Hill, NJ and Bentley (her spoiled Yorkie).  Dear sister of Terry Simone (Fran) of Atco, NJ, Linda Miller (Don) of Stratford, NJ and Don Simon of Pennsauken, NJ.  Adoring grandmother of Jack and Kane Joyce. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathy was an elementary school teacher for 24 years and found a home at Zane North Elementary School in Collingswood, NJ where she was named 2016 Elementary School Teacher of the Year.  She was also an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University in Camden. Teaching was her passion.  Her family, friends and students were her world.  Kathy loved days on the beach in Wildwood Crest, trips to New York City with her girls, Phillies games & dinner dates with her husband.  She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren from soccer fields & basketball courts to the stage.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, April 11th from 5:00PM – 8:00PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Twp., NJ and Wednesday, April 12th from 8:00AM – 9:30AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI CHURCH) at 90l Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ.

Family eulogy will begin promptly at 9:30 AM followed by Liturgy.
