Josephine was a bookkeeper by trade and loved her various bookkeeping jobs especially at Real Estate Investment Strategies. In addition to bookkeeping, Josephine was the best undiscovered writer of her time, writing 10 rules for a happy marriage, landing her a contest win at the radio station WPEN! Her writing skills didn’t stop there. She had a love of Papyrus cards, which she personalized with her own words and famous quotes. These cards were lovingly received by anyone lucky enough to get one! All her friendships were very important to her but one of her longest friendships existed with the club called Orbis Avanti (circle moves forward). A club rich in education, and relationships that stood the test of time! Josephine also developed an affection for toy poodles, inspired by her bosses’ dogs who came to work each day. She enjoyed them so much she got 2 of her own - Noel and Bianca that never left her side! Music was a source of entertainment and comfort for her, especially artists like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Andrea Bocelli, and Mario Lanza – her favorite songs - Maybe You’ll Be There, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and Ave Maria! South Philadelphia was her home town and the mummers were close to her heart! She couldn’t wait to perform the mummer’s strut at weddings and parties she attended! She enjoyed traveling, especially to Italy with her brother Larry and sister-in-law Esther and always told everyone it was the best trip of her life! She shared many stories about her sister Elmina and the crazy things Elmina would have her and her friends do! Last but not least - her husband and family – these were the most important treasures of her world! She would often say, “Frank look what we started!” Now we ask ourselves what will we ever do without her!
