Joseph "Pat" P. Kernan

Joseph Patrick Kernan, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, March 28 ^th , 2020, at the age of 86, of Barrington, NJ.

Pat’s life was full of joy, good wishes and memories, that all came from the love of his wife Jeannie, his children Patrick and Jenny. Together Patrick, his wife Elaine, their children Alison, Katie, Abigail and two beautiful great grandchildren Iris and Wally, Jenny, Jerry Gabrielle, Nicholas and Danny are so fortunate to say that our lives were enhanced in every sense of the word with our Dad’s unconditional Love. His brother Franny and sister Brigid will miss his calm presence, his giving nature and undeniable wit.

Pat’s family is where he found friendship, but he welcomed and included his friends, like Bob Parker, into the “Kernan Gang” for life.

Pat’s life was truly a life most people could only dream to have. Our dad was blessed to have his parents, Eugene and Margaret, who raised their 10 children in a strong Irish Catholic faith home on 91 Geneva Ave in Westmont. Our grandparents showed all of us that the most important part of life is the love we have each other, and that’s what makes life truly worth living. His love for his family is how he lived his life, and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love our Dad ❤️

Family Visitation and Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to emfasisfoundation.org.
