Joseph "Joe" Green passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at the age of 74. A longtime resident of Haddon Township, New Jersey, Joe will be remembered for his creativity, humor, love of family, and the countless memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.
Joe was the beloved father of Deziree (fiancé Zac), Danielle (fiancé Joe), and Joey III. He was the loving Pop-Pop to his cherished granddaughter, Emily. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Green; his loving cousin, Joe Occhuzo (Denise); and his adopted daughter, Angie Suessegger (Jimmy).
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Ernestine "Tina" and Joseph Sr., and his sister, Deborah Bush.
Born and raised in Belmawr, New Jersey, Joe found joy in life's simple pleasures and spent many happy days doing the things he loved most. An avid fisherman, Joe especially enjoyed freshwater fishing at Belmawr Lake, often spending time with his beloved cousin Joe. Whenever he had the opportunity, he loved heading to the Jersey Shore, whether to cast a line into the ocean or walk the beach with his metal detector in hand, searching for little treasures hidden in the sand.
Music was one of Joe's greatest passions. As a young man, he proudly played guitar and sang in a local band called The Twaliters. He was naturally gifted and had a remarkable musical talent that stayed with him throughout his life. Whether he was playing music, singing along to a favorite song, or sharing stories from his younger days, his love for music was evident to everyone around him.
Joe was also a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan. He never missed cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Flyers and was an even bigger fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. Win or lose, he proudly supported his teams and looked forward to every game.
A gifted artist, Joe had a talent that amazed those around him. He loved creating his own funny cartoon characters that reflected his playful personality, and he enjoyed painting beautiful outdoor scenes, especially sunsets, boats, and peaceful landscapes. His creativity and imagination were truly one of a kind!
Above all, Joe will be remembered for the laughter he brought into the lives of others. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick wit, and a goofy personality that could brighten any room. He loved making people laugh and never took himself too seriously. His kindness, talent, humor, and the countless memories he created with family and friends will be cherished forever. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Joe's life on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 6 PM to 7 PM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, New Jersey. Joes memorial service will follow at 7 PM. Interment will be held privately.
