John Frank Saporito

John passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on August 15th, 2023, at the age of 96.

John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. John was born in New York City in 1927 and settled in Camden, NJ. He was one of four sons of Henry & Mary Saporito and was predeceased by his loving brothers, Salvatore, Michael and Frank.

He joined the United States Army in 1950 and proudly served his country with distinction in the Korean War. After his military service, John was employed at the RCA Corporation for a long and distinguished career.

In 1957, John married the love of his life Antonetta Morda and was her devoted husband for 66 years. Together, they settled in Haddonfield where they raised their family of four sons. He was predeceased by his son Frank and is survived by his sons Michael (Mary Bryant), John (Tanya), and Christopher (Christina Bozarth), and his daughter in-law Susan Saporito. John is also survived by many loving sisters and brother’s in-laws and nieces and nephews.

John’s adoring 9 grandchildren were the light of his life; Jason (Stephanie), Catherine (Stephanie), Anne Terwilliger (Zachary), Christa Johnson (Steven), JT (Erika Perez), Carly Owens (Howard), Jacob, Benjamin and Cecilia. John is also survived by his 8 (soon to be 9) great-grandchildren.

John’s great love was for his large family and found immense joy in frequent gatherings at the family home. John’s enduring legacy will be one of family bonds that will be lovingly carried forward by his wife, Antonetta, his sons and their wives, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, Aug. 19th from 10 to 10:45 AM at CHRIST THE KING CHURCH, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, NJ, where the Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM.

Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
