John passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the age of 92, of Haddon Township, NJ. Beloved husband of 63 years to Mabel L. “MamieLou” (nee Smallwood).
Loving father of James “Jay” Nungesser (Deborah), Mary Simmons (Robert) and Jill Quiles (Ed). Dear brother of Susan Buck. Proud grandfather of Derek Nungesser, John Simmons, Vera & Natalia Simmons, Cade Nungesser and Abby & Sophia Quiles. Also survived by several nieces.
John was a US Army Veteran. He worked for Philadelphia National Bank as a software engineer. John was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles sports fan. He enjoyed golfing and boating. John will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions in John’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22978, Oklahoma City, OK 73132 or a Cancer charity of the donor’s choice.
