John “Jack” Thomas Needham passed away peacefully in the presence of family on Friday, November 7, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with myelofibrosis disease. Jack is survived by sons Jack Needham, Jr. (Charlotte) and Brian Needham; daughters, Megan Shaub (Jeff Marconi), Maureen DeLong (Josh) and Pia Dewing (Tyler) and grandchildren, Riley, Wyatt and Garret Needham, Ethan and Colton Shaub, Emma, Charlotte and Isabelle DeLong, and Blake, Griffin, Jay and Drew Dewing. He is also survived by brothers, Robert Needham (Mary Ann) and Donald Needham (Lynne Besen), sister, Teresa McDyer, and cousins, Lori and Peggy Needham, as well as many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Teresa Needham, brother, Joseph Needham, and sisters, Lillian Needham and Nancy Gullen.

Jack was born and raised in Merion, in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He attended Malvern Prep and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School. He lived in Haddonfield, New Jersey for many years before moving back to his home state of Pennsylvania. Jack spent most of his career in the trucking industry, a family tradition. He was mechanically gifted, fiercely independent, very hard-working and always had a do-it-yourself mentality. He continued to be a trucking business owner and operator into his 80’s. Jack was fond of Philadelphia sports teams and loved all things cars, particularly fast ones. He enjoyed telling stories and engaging in spirited political conversations. He was a friend to many and will be remembered fondly.

A private ceremony will be held to celebrate his life.
