John E. Kappel "Jack"

On December 20, 2018, Age 91, of Westmont, NJ.

Predeceased by beloved wife, Jane (nee Lydon), brother George and sister Claire.  Loving father of John (Linda), Anne Marie, Margie, Bob (Lisa), and Maureen “Mimi” (Mark) Gallicchio.  Devoted grandfather of John (Larissa), Patricia (Preston), Jessica, Rebecca, Shannon & Ryan. Also survived by devoted nephew Jim, nieces Sandy (Rick), Liz and Bonnie, and many others, sister’s in law Julia and Barbara (Eric) and many dear friends.

Jack lived his long and full life on his own terms and spent his later years devoted to God and his church.  He could strike up a conversation with anyone and was diligent about staying in touch with his many friends over the years. Jack proudly served in WWII and was a proud graduate of Gloucester Catholic HS and Drexel University. As a CPA, he authored the book Basic Business Concepts for the Braille Student (1961). He was blessed with a large and loving family and he will be remembered by the many people whose lives he touched.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday, December 28 from 10:15-11:15 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI CHURCH, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp, NJ 08033, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30.

Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
