Joan Cecilia Treppiedi "Joanie"

(née Brown) Joan, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at the age of 86.

Beloved mother of Frank N. Treppiedi (Kelly) of Cherry Hill, NJ and Maryann T. Jacobs (Tom) of Staunton, VA. Proud grandmother of Matteo, Arianna, MaryKelly, Jade & Corinne. Devoted wife of the late Nicholas Treppiedi, and beloved sister of the late Nan Wooden and late Robert Brown. Joan is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Joanie graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1955. She worked for Bell Telephone and John Hancock Insurance before marrying and raising children, and when her children were grown, she worked at the Cherry Hill Mall.

Joan loved to sing, and sang a few times onstage with bands in her youth. She was talented at drawing; enjoyed playing her Lowrey Genie organ for many years; and adored classic movies, her favorite being “An Affair To Remember,” which she watched over and over. She also loved spending her summers in Wildwood with friends and family for decades.

In her younger years, she was quite the seamstress, making her children’s Halloween costumes every year. She baked delicious stromboli, and was happiest spending time with her family.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday, Sept. 28th from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Twp., NJ. Her memorial service will begin at 12 noon.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donors’ choice.
