Jeanne A. Bender

Jeanne passed away surrounded by her family, on February 15, 2025, of Haddon Twp., NJ, formerly of Pennsauken, NJ, at the age of 95.

She was the daughter of the late Charles & Anna Sheets. Loving wife of 69 years to the late John Joseph Bender, Jr. She is survived by her children Bonnie Skidmore (Rick), Linda Bender-Lazos, and Rick Bender (Donna). Proud “Mimi” to her grandchildren Krystal (Gregory), Courtney (Gregory), Kylee, Pierce, John Joseph, and Ryan. She was so happy knowing that she had two Great grandbabies on the way. Sister of the late Betty Wolf. Sister-in-law of William Wolf, and the late Julia, Victor, Edward, and Albert. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jeanne graduated from Camden High School.  She retired as Administrative Assistant to the District Director of Special Services, in the Pennsauken School District. Jeanne was a longtime member of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church. She loved to play Bridge at Tavistock Country Club and was a member of the Haddon Fortnightly.  Jeanne’s family was her pride and joy.  She passionately followed their sports activities and celebrated their professional and academic accomplishments.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday morning, February 22, 2025 from 10 – 11 AM at HADDONFIELD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield, NJ, where funeral services will follow at 11 AM.

Interment Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Jeanne’s memory may be made to the Church or Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Rd., Voorhees, NJ 08043.
