James A. Kolody

Jim went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2025, at the age of 70, of Mickleton, NJ, formerly of Oaklyn, NJ. Beloved son of the late Anthony & Mary Kolody. Loving husband of Patti (nee Fabian) Kolody. Dear brother of Joanne Gill (Clifford) of Haddon Heights, NJ and Dan Kolody (Sally) of Bellmawr, NJ. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. 

Jim was a project manager for many years at OneBeacon Insurance Co., where he quietly mentored many college interns. He was a man of great faith who served at Haddon Heights Baptist Church in various capacities for many years. One of Jim’s favorite ways to serve was as an AWANA leader and then as Commander. He organized and led many fun AWANA events such as the Grand Prix car races and, his favorite, the Batsto hikes. Jim was an inspiration and joy to the hearts of young people and was always willing to offer advice with a joke and a good laugh. Jim enjoyed bowling in a church league and served as the league secretary for many years. He also enjoyed family gatherings and looked forward to outings with friends. He especially appreciated the Christian bonds he made through church communities. Jim brought joy to everyone he met. He brightened the lives of those around him with his natural sense of humor and quick wit. The light of Jesus shined through his soul. 

Friends and family are invited to his Viewing on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at Haddon Heights Baptist Church, 300 Station Ave., Haddon Heights, NJ, where services will begin at 11 AM. 

Interment will be private.
