Gregory Victor Amiriantz

September 19, 1943 — January 8, 2020

We lost our wonderful Greg on January 8 th , 2020, after a prolonged illness that he privately handled with courage and grace. Known for his love of family, joy for life, and accomplishments in his career and artistic pursuits, Greg is survived by the light of his life, loving wife Jacquie Valeri Amiriantz, and her beloved daughters Heather (nee Cochrane) Gustafson (Bob) and Erin (nee Cochrane) Tunnicliffe (John), his treasured grandsons Layne and Shay Gustafson, as well as extended family of brother Vahe, brother-in-law, Dr. F. Scott Valeri (Anne Geary), uncle Dave Kzirian, and Kzirian and Yasaian family cousins, Greg was preceded in death by his parents Khatchig and Iris Yasaian Amiriantz.

Greg was a storied career educator committed to the learning and thriving of all students. As Principal of Clearview Regional High School in Mullica Hill, NJ, and then later as CEO and Principal of the Charter High School for Architecture and Design in Philadelphia, PA, Greg was an advocate for teachers and students alike. He had many joyful interests, including music and woodworking. Greg was an expert photographer, recently displaying photos of landscapes and nature in local venues. He loved the outdoors through hiking and bicycling, as well as gardening, and supporting Jacquie’s hobby of raising black swallowtail butterflies.  Happiest when with his family, Greg especially delighted in his role as a grandfather and was so proud of his grandsons. He was also dedicated to his family dogs, most recently, rescued “Wallace.”

The family will have a private memorial service. Notes of appreciation may be shared on www.jacksonfh.net.  To honor Greg’s memory, contributions may be made to Animal Welfare Association, 509 Centennial Blvd, Voorhees, NJ, 08043 or to "School Counts!" Scholarship Endowment (CCCEF), 3322 College Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.

Arrangements by Jackson Funeral Home, Haddon Township, NJ.
