Gertrude K. Klocek "Gerts", "Babci", "Nana" & "Aunt Suction"

(nee Baranowski) Gertrude passed away peacefully at home, with her loved ones by her side on Monday, October 18, 2021, of Westmont, NJ, at the age of 97.  Beloved wife of the late Clarence J. Klocek. Loving mother of Dennis Klocek (Barbara) of Carmichael, CA, James Klocek (Mary) of N. Aurora, IL, and the late Richard S. Klocek. Proud grandmother of Stefan, Noah, Ben, Joshua and Melanie. Also survived by her great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews as well as her extended family of dear neighbors and friends known as “Mom’s Angel Network”.

Gerts’ caring attitude, gentle humor and wisdom, documented in her self-penned auto-biography (“I have always believed that good manners and respect were not costly – they were cultivated – The most important being respect. If you have respect, you have manners.”)  and in carefully hand-written “Books of Adages”, gifted by her to others over time, which have delighted and influenced many, far and wide, and will continue to do so for years to come.  Her love of Christmas is legendary, with her house acting as a beacon to the rest of her street, its Christmas tree lit in the front window each night, evoking the spirit of the season for all visitors – even when it’s not Christmastime at all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, where her Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 AM

Interment will be private.
