George C. Palmer

George passed peacefully on October 27, 2021, at the age of 99, of Collingswood, NJ.

Beloved husband of 77 years to the late Doris (nee Linderman). Loving father of John Palmer (Nancy) of Maple Shade, NJ and Joanne Palmer of Haddon Twp., NJ.  Proud grandfather of Heather Wood (Doug) and Wendy VanHorn (Matthew). Great grandfather of Nathan, Abby and Baron.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews.

George proudly served in the US Marine Corps during WWII.  He worked as a machinist, then as top salesman at Charles Beck Machine Corp. in King of Prussia for over 20 years.  He loved NJ and the Jersey Shore; Sea Isle City with his family.  George was the “Go to Guy” and would drop everything to help someone in need.  He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, clamming and being around the boats.  George was a true family man and with his late wife as a couple loved sharing and celebrating everything with the family. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation, Monday, Nov. 1, 2021 from 10:00 to 11AM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, followed by his Funeral Service at 11AM.

Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
