Francis V. "Frank" Vitelli, Jr.

May 3, 1947 — May 15, 2020

Frank passed away on May 15, 2020, at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly from complications of COVID-19.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and was raised in the Cramer Hill section of Camden, NJ.  He recently resided in Waterford Works, NJ.

Frank was known as Chester Ferguson in the music industry.  He played several instruments but was best known for being a mean bass player and a pretty good singer (but never in the first set).  He played with many bands and met many great musicians over the years.  He enjoyed riding his Harley, especially on rides with his sister and brother-in-law.  He also enjoyed family gatherings, watching the Phillies and Eagles games, and just reminiscing while drinking coffee with Paul.

Frank is survived by his loving sister, Cathy Pantilione (Joe) of Vineland.  One sister-in-law, Susan Vitelli of Westmont.  Nephews: Lenny and Jason Baker. Nieces:  Tracy Heckers (Jim), Michelle Schmitt (Kevin), Kathleen Hartshaw (Tommy).  Two great-nephews and five great nieces.  His best friends, Cookie and Paul Evans Pedersen, Jr.  He was predeceased by his parents:  Anna (nee Rose) and Francis (Frank) V. Vitelli, Sr., brothers:  Joe and Mike Vitelli.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  A Celebration of Life event will be announced by his sister at a later date when we can all gather again safely.
