(neé Huffman)
Erika, passed suddenly on May 28th, 2025, of Lindenwold, NJ, at the age of 50. Loving wife of almost 20 years to William W. Sander “Bill”. Beloved mother of Jordan Christian Sander. Dear daughter of Dutch Huffman & Marilyn (Romine) of Tucson AZ.
Family was the most important part of her life, and she leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews who loved her.
Erika was born in Phoenix, AZ and raised in South Jersey. She graduated from Highland High School where she was on the swim team, played saxophone in the band, filled several roles in productions by the drama department, and was active in Girl's Interact. She graduated from Rutgers and earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Whether a teenage lifeguard and swim instructor, working for Kinney's in Philadelphia, employed at Chrysler Financial Services, or in her position as Compliance Function Leader and BSA officer at PEAC Solutions, Erika's work ethic and character were recognized.
We will miss Erika's ever-present beautiful smile, laugh, wit, sarcasm, sense of humor, kind heart, and hugs. We will remember her love of cats, diet coke, the color purple, and time spent in her RV. We will never forget her inspiring courage and strength in the face of so many health challenges.
Erika was blessed with many incredible friends throughout her life. We are grateful for their love and support. Please join her family for a Celebration of Life luncheon on Saturday, July 12th from 11am to 2pm in the Reception Hall at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church - 61 East Rt. 70, Marlton, NJ 08053. We are asking everyone to wear purple, Erika's favorite color. Please come in comfortable, casual attire. We look forward to sharing stories and memories of Erika. Kindly RSVP by July 10th to Lois Reid by email: ecelebrationoflife@gmail.com
Erika was a Gift of Life transplant recipient. She wanted to be a Gift of Life donor and would be happy to know that because of her, two people will be able to see. Please consider being an organ donor in Erika's memory.
In lieu of flowers a contribution in her name to Gift of Life Howie’s House, or an animal rescue organization, is suggested.
