Emilio Santiago, Jr.

Emilio passed peacefully with his family by his side, on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the age of 81, of Camden, NJ.

Beloved husband of the late Anna Gloria (nee Flores). Loving father of Eric Santiago and his wife Latoya, of Lumberton, NJ and loving former father-in-law of Marisol Santiago.  Dear brother of Juanita Santiago of Puerto Rico, William Santiago of Puerto Rico, Lolin Santiago of NY, and the late Luis Santiago. Proud grandfather of Anna Santiago and Aeris Santiago. Adoring great-grandfather of Blas E. “Jr.” Morera and Camila Iris Morera. Cherished “Poncho” of Debbie Gillen and dear friend of Janice Fitzgerald, who were his favorite nurses.

Emil was a bus driver for Senior Adult Care Centers at Generations and Home Sweet Home for many years.  He was a mechanic at “his garage”, and a true handyman fixing everything around the house. His true passion and enjoyment was going to the Casinos to play the Little Mermaid Penny Slot machines and buying loads of lottery tickets. He also enjoyed bowling and watching his beloved Mets. Emil was very independent, humble and kind, never expecting anything in return. He shared unconditional love with his family especially his grand babies and great grand babies. Emil was loved by everyone who knew him and will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday, August 21st  from 4 to 6 PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, where his funeral service will begin at 6 PM.

Interment will be private.
