Cyril E. Daly

On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, of Cherry Hill, formerly a 45 year resident of Westmont.

Beloved husband of the late Ruth B. (Nee Baxter).  Loving father of Donna Schuman (the late Robert), Susan D. Piersanti (Thomas, Sr.), the late Dennis Daly and Francis Daly.  Dear father-in-law of Carol Daly. Adoring grandfather of 6, great grandfather of 5 and great-great grandfather of 2.

Cy was a US Army Veteran serving from 1945 to 1946. He was a Civil Engineer working for Philadelphia Electric Company (now Exelon) from the time he left the military to his retirement. Cy was a member of ASCE, American Legion Post 230, AARP in Westmont, Knights of Columbus Council #1443, Volunteers of NJ and Health Ins. Information Counseling & Assistance Program in Camden.  His passion was performing in String Bands, a member of Delco for 15 yrs., Trilby for 12 yrs. and Aqua for 25 yrs.   He was inducted into the String Band Hall of Fame in Philadelphia at the age of 90.  That same year was the last year he marched down Broad Street in the Mummer's Parade carrying and playing the accordion.  Cy was a longtime parishioner of Holy Saviour Church and served Meals on Wheels for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing Wednesday from 10-11 AM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, followed by his Funeral service at 11 AM.

Interment will be private.
