Colleen passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 51, after a courageous battle with cancer. She died peacefully with family by her side.
A lifelong resident of Haddon Township, Colleen was the beloved wife of Nevado Russell. Daughter of Donald J. McCloskey and the late Eileen (nee Lyons), and granddaughter of the late Joseph and Elsie Lyons and John and Marie McCloskey. Loving sister of Tina Ward (Brian), of Haddon Township, NJ, and the late Karen Roll (Ronald), of Quinton, NJ. She was the proud aunt of Marissa, Jason, and Rachel Ward, and Brielle and Ronnie Roll, and great aunt of Patrick McAdams. Dear niece of Joseph Lyons Jr. (Therese), William Lyons (Ruth), Janet Blanchard (Theron), Daniel Lyons (Nadine), John Lyons (Erin), the late Paul Lyons, the late John McCloskey (Barbara), the late Michael McCloskey (Marilyn), and Janice Bozza (Steve). Also survived by many loving cousins and friends.
Colleen’s passion for fashion led her to a successful career in fashion merchandising. Her analytical mind and attention to detail helped her further her career as a Director of IT and Business Insights. Colleen was a proud and passionate Philly sports fan and was often found cheering on her beloved Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers. She also had a great love for nature and the outdoors. She enjoyed the beach, camping, kayaking, fishing and sitting by the campfire. Traveling with family and friends was one of Colleen’s great joys. She treasured every memory she made along the way. Colleen also enjoyed baking and decorating cakes and cookies. Prior to getting sick, she fulfilled her dream of starting her own bakery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Friday evening, January 3rd from 6 PM to 8 PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Twp., NJ, and visitation Saturday, Jan. 4th from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish HOLY SAVIOR CHURCH, 50 Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM.
