Charles was born in 1954 and was raised in Mt. Ephraim. After graduating from Audubon High School, he went to Glassboro State College and achieved a degree in music. After brief periods of teaching music and serving in the Army, he set out to follow his passion for music. While Chuck enjoyed playing various musical instruments, his true passions were the drums and saxophone. He was an exceptionally talented drummer who played professionally in New Hampshire, Boston and Pittsburgh.
Upon his return to New Jersey in the late 80s, he embarked on a 25-year career with Camden County as an Environmental Enforcement Officer. Chuck believed, “We all share this beautiful planet and should work together to make it a better place.” Even after retiring in 2018, he remained passionate for the environment by staying engaged with various community groups. Chuck enjoyed being outdoors in warm weather; boating, fishing, exploring nature, and relaxing on the beach. He especially treasured his annual summer family vacation in Ship Bottom, NJ. Throughout his busy life, Chuck continued to play in various bands and musical projects even up until the time of his death.
