Carolyn Joy Olt

Carolyn Joy Olt, (nee Reitz) passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 59. Carol is survived by her son Michael Reitz (Jessica) and proud Nana of Jenna, Kyle, Mason, Gianna, and Arabella.

Family was very important to her.  She would go out of her way to help others in whatever ways possible.  When she claimed you as a friend, it was forever.  She has several childhood friends she kept in touch with, and knew everyone in Westmont, where she called “home” for many years.  She loved animals of all sorts, but especially her kitty companion “Cutie-Pie”.

Carol’s proudest accomplishment was staying sober for nearly two years.  She supported others in that journey and learned a lot about herself. She found even when the days got easier, she still needed to fight to stay well.  Carol was also grateful for her friends at Westmont UMC, where she was baptized several years ago.  Amazing Grace was her fight song.

She was the caretaker of her husband Bob until his passing.  She is survived by her sisters and a brother.  Carol also has several other family members, and her stepmother Kathy.

Carol was cherished by her son Michael and her grandchildren and is deeply missed. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3 PM on Sunday, December 29, 2024, Carol’s 60th Birthday, at Westmont United Methodist Church, 200 Emerald Ave, Haddon Township, NJ 08108.
