Beverly J. Rowan

Bev passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the age of 69, of Haddonfield, NJ. Beloved wife of 39 years to Gerald J. Rowan. Loving mother of Jen Schwartzberg (Adam) of Haddonfield, NJ and Jerry Rowan (Susan) of Harrison, AK.  Dear sister of Carroll Stewart, Jr. (Robin), Robert Stewart (Donna), Gary Stewart (the late Pat) and the late John Stewart.  Loving Nana of Odin Rowan and Sam & Jack Schwartzberg.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Bev was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and attended Kensington high school. She received her B.A. in business at Eastern University in Devon PA. She worked in the banking industry her whole career and retired from PNC Bank as a senior vice president. She met Jerry in 1984 and married in 1985. She became a loving mother to Jerry and Jennifer both in their teens. Between Bev and Jerry they were blessed with many friends, and there was never a dull moment when they all got together! She loved to entertain. Her Christmas parties were epic! She became a devoted grandmother to Odin, Sam and Jack. She insisted on the very best of everything for them, and they enjoyed her big energy and love.

Jerry and Bev loved to travel. They made numerous trips to Europe, visiting Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

Bev had a big heart! She volunteered for Big Sisters, Manna, Philly Reads… just to name a few. She could light up a room with her smile, beauty and personality, which was larger than life! They settled in the house of their dreams in Haddonfield, with Sam and Jack a couple blocks away, it was a wonderful life! Bev was a person that worked hard, played hard, was generous to a fault. She will be missed greatly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Monday, Jan. 8th from 6 – 8:00 PM at the JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ, and on Tuesday, Jan. 9th from 10 – 11:30 AM, followed by her memorial service at 11:30 AM.

Interment will be private.
