Barry peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
He is survived by his loving family, friends, and neighbors. Barry would tell you his greatest successes in life were his marriage of 47 years to his best-friend and loving wife Suzanne (Boenning), his children and their spouses, Joshua (Melissa), Jason (Lisa), and Cody, and his grandchildren, Alexis, Brianna, Joshua, and Isabella.
He is the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Bruner, and son-in-law to the late Albert and June Boenning. Loving brother-in-law to Barbara Pinto (Bill), Thomas Boenning (Susan), Robert Boenning (Karen), and the late Albert Boenning, Jr., the late Deborah Ferrari (Al). He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.
Barry enjoyed coaching baseball for his boys and had helped many in his community learn and love the game. He was also a dedicated coach, volunteer, and fan for the Special Olympics where his son, Cody, is an athlete. Barry loved cooking and entertaining family and friends. He was a “prankster” at heart and enjoyed making people laugh and could find the best in any situation. He enjoyed long car rides and would often spend his weekend mornings “getting lost” searching for new fishing spots or seeking out the best “Jersey ‘Maters.” Barry was a home heating fuel driver and an HVAC technician. He enjoyed building relationships with the customers on his route and spending time with his coworkers fishing in the Delaware Bay. In his retirement Barry also served as a transportation aide in providing bus services for the St. John of God Community Services.
